So I went to Montreal and didn’t see the major propane explosion in Toronto.
It was my first time in Montreal and I found it oh so different from Toronto. Not only because of the language (which I do enjoy), but because of the people, the traffic, the subway. The subway is smaller and darker and older. Besides, the sound system there is worse: nothing as clear as the sometimes boring “the next station is King, King Station” and “arriving at King, King Station”. On the bus, nothing is said. I don’t have to tell you how easy it is to get lost.
And there’s more. If you go to stores like Apple or Sony you don’t feel as welcome as in Toronto: you can’t take pictures inside the Apple store and you can’t touch (yes, touch!) the computers at Sony’s. And from my point of view, Toronto is cheaper.
Conclusive thought: it was great and charming for visiting but Toronto seems so more organized, despite all of its problems.
